World Book Day

Thursday 3rd March

World Book Day takes place on Thursday 3rd March and we would like to invite you to join us in helping your child to make the most of this special occasion. Your child has the choice to dress up as any book character or come in school uniform, please make sure they have suitable shoes for playtimes. They can bring in their favourite book to share.
World Book Day celebrates the joy and value of books and reading and each class will be doing different activities throughout the day. One new activity the whole school will be doing is making a character out of a wooden spoon. Please chat with your child about the character your child would like to make and send in any craft materials that might help make their spoon extra special. If you are having a clear out and have any crafty resources that you would like to donate to school, please feel free to send these in.
Every child will receive a £1 World Book Day Book Token that can either be exchanged for one of TEN special £1 World Book Day books or used to get £1 off any book costing £2.99 or more. You can find out more about the books at worldbookday.com/books.
Kind regards,
Sonya Robinson & Laura Gibson
