Support our Local Post Office

Each year the PTA applies for a grant which is available from the village shop.

Storth Community Co-Operative is a group of volunteers which run Storth Village shop. The profits it makes from sales in the shop goes into the grant pot. Then each summer the committee give out grants to local community groups and charities. Over the years we have been given thousands of pounds.

We have for a number of years been using the grant money to fund Flute Lessons for all children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Each child is loaned a flute at no cost to them. Lessons are weekly. The children are also given opportunities to perform at the Brewery Arts Centre (Big Flute) and at school and village events.

The village shop is a great asset to this community but it relies on people visiting the shop and spending money. The shop has just undergone a refurbishment to make it as safe a possible for both volunteers and customers.

The shop stocks all sorts of food stuffs, artisan bread, milks, eggs, sweeties, a lovely selection of gift cards etc. There is also the post office counter. Pop in and see if there is anything that takes your fancy and support our local shop.
