Covid-19 letter to parents

Dear Parents and carers,

Please see the attached letter from Cumbria County Council concerning next week.

School will be open for children of KEY WORKERS ONLY from 9:30am on Monday 23rd March until the end of the week. There will then be a decision made about the Easter break and subsequent weeks if needed.

If you are a key worker and need child care provision – we will not be teaching your children, merely looking after them – then please could you email me with the days you require so I can staff the school accordingly. Those who will be attending will need a packed lunch and a change of clothes (we have a lot of gardening planned!!).

County have made it very clear to all schools that we are only to open to children of key workers and only if it is absolutely necessary. If children can stay at home and be safely cared for, then they must.

Please look at the attached letter carefully and contact me as soon as possible to let me know your requirements.

The situation is changing every day it seems and I will keep you informed of all developments as soon as they arise. I hope you all stay well and look after each other and hopefully the situation will become more manageable.

Best wishes,

Simon Brabant
