Dear Parents and Carers,

As you are well aware by now, school will close for Easter this Friday, March 20th. There is no clear re-start date as yet and we will advise you of this as soon as we know. School will still operate normally (staff wellness permitting) for some children – we will give more details of this as soon as we have more details. There is also the possibility we will be open over Easter to enable parents to continue working during the current situation.

In light of the closure, we have put links to work packs on the website, as well as links to other sites that will provide challenges and lots of interest for your children. I would like to thank Mrs Goodfellow for her hard work in ensuring this is all in place and working. The BBC have also put many activities and links onto the iPlayer that are well worth looking at.

Another repercussion of the current climate has been the cancellation of the KS1 and KS2 sats, as well as the inaugural year 4 online times tables test. The children have been very busy preparing for these and I thank them all for showing so much dedication and hard work – especially the seven Year 6 children who must be very disappointed!

These are very challenging times. Please take care of yourselves and your families and try to remember things will be back to how they used to be at some stage. I wish you all well and hope that we will all be back together again in the very near future.

If you need more information or would like to chat, then please see me when you can.
