Class 1 Letter

Tomorrow will be the last, part week of this term. We finish on Wednesday afternoon at 2.55 pm. It has been a quick three weeks for some children, but a much longer-term for others. The children have all settled in well and it is lovely to see everyone back together.

We will continue with Forest School on Tuesday, please ensure that your child has waterproof clothing and a spare set of clothing too, just in case we get wet or very dirty. I will send home PE kits this week for washing, please could you check that your child has shorts, a school pe t-shirt, pe shoes, tracksuit bottoms, spare underwear and socks for the start of next term, if in Reception. Nursery children just need to come to school wearing suitable clothing and footwear. After the holiday Forest School will be on a Monday morning and PE on a Tuesday morning.

Could I also ask you to all check that you can log in to Lunch Shop before Wednesday. You will need to order your child’s school lunch before returning to school. Reception children will receive lunch free of charge and Nursery children are now able to pay for a meal. If you have problems logging in, please let Mrs Barker in the office know, as she will be able to reset your details before the end of term.

I believe that tickets will be available for the Easter Raffle today if you were unable to buy on Friday and would like a chance at winning some Easter goodies.

Many of the children in Class 1 have enjoyed making dens over the last couple of weeks. We have a very short supply of material that they could use for den making. If anyone has any old sheets, curtains or duvet covers the children would be very appreciative.

We would be very grateful if you could discourage your child from bringing in any toys from home. We are advised that items from home should be restricted as much as possible, and at present, we are not allowed soft toys as part of our provision in school.

Kind regards
Helen Ireland
