Nature, Wildlife & Conservation Club
We are excited to offer a new Nature, Wildlife & Conservation Club for children in Key Stage 2.
The club will run on Wednesdays from 3:15pm to 5:00pm, starting on Wednesday 14th October.
This is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore and learn about the natural world around them. Throughout the year, we will be developing our identification skills and discovering the wonderful wildlife and countryside on our doorstep. Activities will include learning how to identify:
Birds and bats
Trees and wildflowers
Fungi and insects
Animal tracks and signs
Local habitats and ecosystems
Children will learn about the wildlife and countryside around us, as well as the importance of conservation and how we can all play a part in protecting the natural environment.
Sessions will take place at a variety of local sites, including Tower Farm, allowing children to experience different habitats and learn directly in the environments we are studying. As many of our activities will be outdoors, children should come dressed appropriately for the weather and terrain.
We are also keen to involve parents, carers and members of our school community. If you have particular knowledge, experience or skills related to wildlife, conservation, farming, gardening, outdoor education, crafts, photography or any other relevant area, we would love to hear from you. We may occasionally ask for parent volunteers to support sessions or share their expertise with the children.
If your child would be interested in joining the Nature, Wildlife & Conservation Club, please complete the form below by [insert date]. Places may be limited depending on the level of interest.
We look forward to inspiring the next generation of naturalists, conservationists and wildlife enthusiasts!
