Scarecrow competition.
As part of the school’s summer concert on Wednesday July 10th and the Storth Village Fete on June 29th, the school and Sports Field Committee would like to hold a build your own scarecrow competition for the children. It will be based around the Wizard of Oz! Each child can design a scarecrow that would not be out of place in Oz and these will be used as a backdrop to the concert and adorn the grass at the front of school.
Each scarecrow can be made from old clothes or material and can be stuffed with paper or straw. The children can make them at home (crosses will be available outside the office from NOW) and there will be a build your scarecrow morning on Wednesday 26th June in school. If children could bring all they need with them on the 26th if they have not had time at home, then any adults who could spare an hour in the morning to help create the scarecrows would be very welcome to lend a hand! Tea, coffee and biscuits always readily available!
