Parking and Speed.

As you will all be well aware, parking around the school can become quite problematic at times and has caused upset with one or two of the neighbours and residents. Could I just remind you all to try to avoid blocking any driveways and to park considerately and without causing an obstruction. The Heron Hall car park is available to all and is a perfect alternative to a cluttered road in front of the school. Could you just ensure that the gate from school to the Heron field is kept closed at all times?

The Police are to begin monitoring the speed of cars through the village after complaints from some residents. They will also be looking at the parking situation and for those that are causing an obstruction on the main road. As well as this, they will also be issuing fixed penalty notices to those drivers who leave their cars idling when parked. It is an offence to keep your engine running when parked and the fine is a whopping £250!

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Best wishes,

Simon Brabant
