Castle Head FSC, Grange
The children in Class 4 will have the opportunity to attend a late summer residential at Castle Head Field Studies Centre, Lindale, Grange from Wednesday, September 30th until Friday, October 2nd.
The activities include team games, obstacle course, orienteering, bushcraft, walking, night trail and science activities based in the centre. All activities are led by FSC instructors, and everything is provided – from bed linen to food!
Previously, we have subsidised residential trips using the PE funding allocated by central Government. Unfortunately, this funding has now been scrapped, which means residential trips now need to be fully paid for. To keep costs as low as possible, we are using community minibuses for a mileage cost rather than coach hire in the region of £700 or hired minibuses – around £500.

The cost of the camp will be £230 which includes food, accommodation, instructors and transport. We ask that all payments are made by half term and a £50 deposit paid by Monday September 28th.
The children will be accompanied by myself, Mrs Goodfellow, Mr Hunt, Mrs Hunter and Mrs Wilson. I have included a reply slip below – if this can be returned as soon as possible I would be very grateful.
