Building works

Unfortunately, the weather has played its part in the building work at school. This means that the anticipated removal of some asbestos in the existing roof soffits in the conservatory area has been delayed. It was scheduled to happen last week, but will now be undertaken on Monday – Wednesday of next week.

The work is being undertaken by West Coast Thermal Ltd, which is a professional asbestos removal firm. It is very unfortunate that it has to be undertaken during school hours, but I have been assured that every area will be sealed off and tented over and that the work is outside of the school building. The risk is extremely minimal, but I thought it my responsibility to inform you as parents that this will be happening.

If you are concerned, then please contact West Coast Thermal for reassurance. I will authorise any absence for this period too if you, as parents, are particularly concerned.

I am sorry for any inconvenience or worry this may cause, but the interests and safety of your children still is, and always will be, our absolute priority.

Please feel free to speak to me if you have any concerns.

Best wishes

Simon Brabant
