School Dinners
For the last six years, we have been supplied with truly excellent school lunches from the Ship Inn, Sandside which have never failed to impress and have been extremely reliable.
It is with the greatest regret that I have to inform you all that the Ship will be closing on Thursday as per the new lockdown regulations, and will not be re-opening under the management of Ray, Lyn and Chris – indeed the future for the establishment is far from clear.
This means that the school is now trying to find new avenues to supply the free infant school meals for our Reception, Year 1 and 2 children are entitled to, but We will continue to provide hot meals for these children in the meantime. It also means that we will not be able to provide the bought into meals for the rest of the children for the time being. I am hoping this will only be a temporary situation and we will be back to normal as soon as possible. Could I ask that all children in Nursery and Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 bring in a packed lunch from MONDAY November 9th. We will reimburse all parents for any paid school meals up until Christmas, but please bear with us in the short term.
I am very sorry for the inconvenience this may cause, but I will keep you fully up to date on the situation.
I would just like to thank Ray, Lyn, Chris and the Staff of the Ship for everything they have done for us and wish them all the best in the future.
