Welcome back
Welcome back to school in what seem to be some very strange times! The children (barring those that have succumbed to a nasty bug) all seem well and happy to be back and it seems as if they have never been off!
We welcome some new additions – Louan in Year 6, Archie in Year 4, Tabitha in Year 3, Lily and Jemima in Year 1 and Thomas, Charlie, Ralphie and Lucia in Nursery!
As you will have noticed, the new gazebo has been installed and the playground levelled. This will give us more outdoor space and will be a great hub for forest school lessons, as well as providing shade in the summer.
We were hoping that the new classroom building would have been a little further ahead. Unfortunately, unexpected problems with the groundworks have necessitated a delay. We will keep you informed as soon as we have a date for the work to recommence.
Despite the many restrictions on what we are able to do as a school, we will continue to make the most of our opportunities when they arise. Volunteers are allowed into school to help with listening to readers and on forest school days, but we will go slowly for now until we are all used to the routines and restrictions we currently face.
I hope things will gradually get back to how they should be, but for now I ask for your patience and understanding as we get through the next few weeks and the situation becomes more familiar.
