Half Term Information
Half term is nearly upon us, after what has been a very different few weeks in some ways, but also quite normal in others! The children have all been amazing after such a long period of time out of school. I cannot praise them enough for their positive outlook and work ethic over the last few weeks.
Unfortunately, the Covid cloud is still upon us with a staff member recently testing positive, but they had been self-isolating prior to their result, so the risk to others should be minimal. Could I just reiterate the need to be forthcoming with any suspected illness and remind you of the three main symptoms – temperature; a new cough; a loss of taste or smell.
In other news – we are currently selling poppies in school to help support the Royal British Legion. The suggested voluntary donation for a Poppy is £1.00 and any extra merchandise your children may like is £2.00 or more.
Harvest: We will be holding a closed harvest festival on Friday for the children alone. We are supporting the Milnthorpe foodbank this year so thought it would be very supportive if the children could simply bring in a tin(s) or packet(s) of food which we could then distribute after the service.
Boxes of Hope: a reminder about the Boxes of Hope and the collection date of Friday 13th November. Please send any completed boxes into school as soon as you are able. Thank you.
A reminder that we break for half term this Friday 23rd October and return (hopefully) on Monday 2nd November.
